The CALICO GARDEN has been in business for over 29 years and our list of friends and customers continues to grow steadily. Previously located in the old Kamm-Schellinger Brewery in Mishawaka, people literally get lost in here! Over 10,000 sq. ft. of nooks and crannies are filled with new and retired items in many different rooms and levels. As you weave your way through the store, you lose the overwhelming sense of wonder at the shear amount of items you are seeing, and begin to leave your cares and become immersed in the charm and amazing selection of gifts, collectibles, and home décor that continue to unfold before you. Each new niche is decorated by color, or theme, and beacons you to explore and discover what’s new around the bend.
Themes include fairies, dogs, frogs, wolves, cats, bunnies, elephants, bears, garden, wedding, farm, rooster and chicken, western, lake and fishing, wildlife, noah’s ark, patriotic, sports, baby and children, over “50”, horses, cows, occupations, kitchen, bath, lighthouses, birds, angels, santas, snowmen, gingerbread, stained glass, afghans, china teapots and teasets, recipe cards and books, school and teacher, and so much more…..

Our sister store, BEARS N’FRIENDS, is located on the lower level of the 100 Center. What a fun place to explore. Thousands of sweet bears and other stuffed animals await you. Boyds, Bearington, Ty, Charming Tails, Mary’s Moos, Precious Moments, Cottage Collectibles, Miniature Bears, Deb Canham, Blushing Bunnies, Cherished Teddies, and Calico Kittens, are just a few of the collections you will find there.
Next door, you will be tempted by the wonderful aroma wafting from PAPPY’S OLD FASHIONED CARAMEL CORN SHOPPE. Made right here, Pappy doesn’t skimp on the butter, brown sugar, and other delectable ingredients he uses in his recipes! Gourmet flavors, such as Mammy’s Pecan, Maple Walnut, Almond Joe, Turtle Pecan, and the best Cheese Corn around are available in bags or decorative tins. Other delicious items are also found, including Bell Buckle jams, jellies, and salsas, as well as wonderful flavors of Fireside coffees and chai tea.
